by Suzanne Enoch

Rating:
3/5

This book is the first book of the Scandalous Brides series by Suzanne Enoch. It’s a novella, but it’s not really its own separate story. It’s the background for the characters in book 1, Oliver and Diane.

This is such a quick read. It’s not terrible, but it jumps into how they meet and there’s quite a bit of sex in it, for it being like a 2 hour read. They spend a fortnight together but most of it is skipped over.

This book made me hate Oliver. Not sure if that was the goal here lol. Don’t like or respect him at all. Diane didn’t really make me feel anything. The sex didn’t make me feel anything. I know it’s a novella so it’s hard to get much of that in there. It’s just weird that it’s its own book. It would have worked better probably as the prologue to book 1. But it gives you a good background to the main characters of that book, which I appreciate.

I give this novella ⭐️⭐️⭐️
