Who Are We?

HistoricalRomance.Love is a new website for fans of Romance from the Admins of the Historical Romance Book Club group on Facebook. While we are abundantly focused on Historical Romance, we plan to have selections from across the romance genre, such as contemporary, steampunk, and fantasy romance. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment and are committed to featuring diverse authors for diverse audiences.

Why Contribute?

The romance novel industry, quite obviously, wouldn’t be what it is without the talented authors who contribute to it. Our aim is two fold: To give independent authors a much needed platform to gain exposure, and to give more wonderful entertainment to their devoted readers. We work hard to engage authors at all levels in order to offer readers the best selection of romantic and historical content.

What Will You Get?

  • Social Media Exposure: The initial launch of HistoricalRomance.Love on February 15th, 2020 will be shared by the admins of Historical Romance Book Club across our four Facebook groups and our Facebook page to more than 2000 members and followers. Contributing authors and members will share the page across their own social media channels. We’ve been successful in getting contributions from some of the genres most well known authors to help boost the popularity of the website….and we’re only getting started. In addition, your contributions will be highlighted on Twitter and through our mailing list to more than 500 followers and subscribers.
  • Author, Business, Blog, or Personal Bio Page: We are pleased to offer every contributor their own bio page with links to their books, blogs, or personal businesses.
  • Ad Space on HistoricalRomance.Love: Every contributor will receive 30 days free adpace with each contribution (maximum one slot per month), including two ad styles (banner and sidebar). Anyone contributing to the Feb 15 premiere will receive a bonus 30 day ad slot. 
  • Book Reviews: If you are an author, we will arrange for honest book reviews from some of our group members. 

Following the initial launch, we will share every post that is published along the same channels mentioned above.

Will You Get Paid?

The short answer is: not yet. Currently, HistoricalRomance.Love is a 100% volunteer operation. The admins/owners of HistoricalRomance.Love are contributing our own time and money into building this site. Our contributors are also an amazing team of volunteers. Until we generate revenue, we are “paying” our volunteers in exposure, ad space, bio pages, and book reviews. 

What happens if/when we do begin making money? First, we will cover the cost and upkeep of the website. That includes hosting, maintenence, and advertisment costs, as well as a few other things. Afterall, we can’t give anyone a platform if we can’t keep the site up and running. Second, we will pay our contributors for their contributions. Third, we pay ourselves. 

This is our guarantee to you: We don’t get paid, until you get paid. 

What Kind of Content Are We Looking For?

In short, everything. If it has to do with romance novels or historical time periods, we want to feature it. 

In particular, we are looking for: 

  • Exclusive content, specifically written for HistoricalRomance.Love.
  • Content featuring real, genuine history the way it should be told, not necessarily the way it has been told.
  • Content from a diverse group of authors. We want to hear from everyone. That includes people from all around the world of all races, ethnicities, nationalities, religions, sexual orientations, genders, abilities and more.

What are the Submission Deadlines?

We’re currently accepting submissions on an ongoing basis. You can register and submit content at any time. An admin will review your submission and let you know when it goes live. 
The first thing to do is register with historicalromance.Love. Once you register, please send an email with the information below.

Who Should You Contact?

To contribute, send an email to with:

  • Your full name, 
  • Your topic of interest and/or proposed title.
  • Links to your book(s), blog, or business.
  • An estimate of when you would be able to send your submission.
An admin will review your details and update your account to contributor access to prepare for your submission. We will email you to talk about next steps.
